Composer's note

Donkerstraat (aka Rue Sombre) is in Brussels, funnily enough just around the corner from Rue Gay; yet another reasonably optimistic piece conceived in the midst of deep personal gloom.

Background

First performed at a 'Whatever Happened to Music' concert by Paragon on 2 June 2003.

Update 12/8/2010 - the CD part is now also a standalone track, called 'vifyavif wif yavif-oo';
